Richard Scarry’s books are THE best !! We always travel with them too - something new to see every time.

I fully support the notion of reading Oliver Twist on a flight to London tbh

A game changer for us whilst travelling was discovering Calpol do pre-measured sachets now! No glass bottle and no decanting! We've done multiple 12 hour+ flights with our toddler and you're totally right - they're never as bad as you think they'll be. Have a great trip :)

Do you use iPad on the flight or will those toys be enough?

We get the iPad out when he's tired of the toys! But on this flight he only watched about 45 minutes of one of his shows (I actually wish he'd watched more ha)

I always take a roll of compost bags with me - I loathe the sea of junk that builds up around us on a flight and like to pile it all out of the way. Also hydrating eyedrops for raisin-eyes. My children were too old for me to use a thing I discovered, which is an inflatable cube that you wedge into the footwell to turn your child's airline seat into a sort of bed but that always looked to me like a boss idea.
