This is a sacred piece of writing and you're so generous to share so candidly, Gillian. Thinking of you and your family and wishing you all a bubble of love.
Such a good read to start the day. I've just noticed it feels quite rare these days to read something just filled with goodness! Wishing your dad more r&r and some tomatoes
This is so lovely and poignant. When my own dad was ill I spent many a car journey with him to various appts. asking him questions all the while. I always felt lucky to take him on those journeys. Your extra time is a gift ❤️
Beautiful article - best wishes on your dads recovery - mine had a big stroke earlier this year you’ve described this experience so accurately- the constant goodbye and the hope that he recovers enough so that I can share a few more special moments with him - I have so much to ask him still
This post made me emotional, especially about your dad walking you down the aisle. I lost my Father in February and he was only 70 — although he did get to walk me down the aisle too. I hope you dad recovers. 🫶🏻 Thanks for sharing these beautiful memories.
So sorry to hear that but I'm so glad you got to have your aisle moment. As someone who doesn't consider themself that traditional, it weirdly meant a lot to me. Sending love x

Thank you ❤️
The officiant’s act of kindness and moment of common sense at your wedding giving you and your Dad such joy is wonderful x
Agree, will always be grateful to him! x

It’s such a lovely pic of the two of you. Your dress is gorgeous and you’re right that you can tell your dad is beaming and so proud. 🥰🥲
