Hi! Love this and especially the sick Tom Petty merch. One thing - the Lynard Skynard shirt you post has a confederate flag reference. I know this isn’t as well known in the UK, but its usage is very much tied with a “the south will rise again/the wrong side won the civil war” energy in the states. To put it lightly.
Argh yes I completely missed recognising that in the shirt - thank you for pointing out! Clearly not following my own rules about problematic merch. Going to take out :)
However they’re a great band. It’s tricky once you start down this path though. Mist of my favourite musicians turns out are awful people. Same goes for actors.
I loved reading this! You've also just reminded my school friends and I made a really mean/weird rule for ourselves in the 90s Kappa era that you should 'never wear a top with a picture of a girl who was prettier than you were'... so we were comparing ourselves to cartoons...🙈
Would love if you also did a post on how to wear a band tee! I have a few I love but always just end up wearing with jean shorts and it doesn’t feel very inspired

I never saw REM either and it breaks my heart on a regular basis, I loved them so. I had tickets to the tour that got cancelled, it was not to be.
Oh no that's so sad you just missed out!
I’ve started going to local shows again and the kids have good merch. This is a good option which feels ethical and unique
